Salary: £22,500 per annum

The National Fostering Agency (NFA) Group is one of the largest independent providers of high quality foster care and special needs education and care. We partner closely with Local Authorities and UK foster carers to create the best possible opportunities and outcomes for child fostering. Now with Acorn Care and Education a part of the NFA family we provide education and care across 20 schools and 19 residential care homes nationally.


Job Purpose
This is your chance to join a growing central HR team and help improve line manager capability across our schools, care homes and fostering offices. You will be responsible for providing effective employment advice and guidance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career in HR within a Group HR team which is growing and expanding the services we offer to the NFA Group.  We are seeking an exceptional candidate who is inspirational, passionate and dedicated to supporting, managing and developing our colleagues. You will be responsible for providing legislatively compliant and commercially focused employee relations advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across the group, ensuring accurate execution of HR transactions and administration.  

We are recruiting for this position at our Bolton office, though some travel around the UK will be required.

You will be responsible for providing effective employment advice and guidance on the following areas of specialism:

1.        Disciplinary and Grievance
2.        Performance Management
3.        Maternity and Paternity
4.        Absence Management
5.        Flexible Working Requests
6.        Change Management

In this role you will drive capability and accountability of good people practices through line management, and monitor, measure and evaluate key people metrics, to inform the people agenda

You will provide and keep abreast of legislative and best practice changes for the above areas of specialism and ensure all terms and conditions of employment are up to date and relevant based on new legislation. You will be responsible for quality assurance and oversight of administration activities from offer letter to employee exit, ensuring all data is accurate and distributed within agreed timescales. Through this role you will support the development and performance of Administration colleagues to meet existing and future needs of the business and report Directly to the Employee Relations Manager.
