Salary:  Up to £25,000 dependent on experience

Job Purpose

The Group is committed to delivering high quality services to young people in our care and ensuring Children are the heart of everything we do. This is a unique chance to join us as part of our expanding IT function. We are currently looking for an IT Applications Specialist to come in and provide support and training for end-users in the use of business applications.

As the Applications Specialist, you will be engaging with users to enhance their knowledge, skills and capability of efficiently using the applications. Being the first point of contact for users will help you understand the importance of our evolving business needs and recognise areas for application development.

It is important to identify trends of incidents with applications and effectively resolve any issues by tackling underlying problems. An awareness of business processes and working practices will help you shape the requirements of solutions.

A highly flexible and proactive approach is required to accomplish continuous improvement and efficiencies. It is essential we are delivering high quality support to the users of IT Applications and responding to the changing demands of the Group.  


Who are we looking for?

  • Knowledge of Microsoft software and associated products
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Be able to work alone and tackle tasks proactively
  • Show good initiative and take ownership of tasks and issues
  • Has a professional demeanour, positive and flexible attitude and good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Hold a driving license
